The Making Money Blogging Minefield

Making money by advertising on your website is like pushing large coins into a tiny piggy's back.
If you want to make money on the net, you need to be vigilant. There are so many scams. The FBI has a page and you can register for Scam Watch E-alerts here. Just searching for making money online results in a bunch of crap sites that try to sign you up to dubious affiliate networks selling e-books. If there’s nothing in a book worth publishing, you probably won’t find it in a bookshop. You can always vanity publish your own e-book online and promise someone a million dollar a day income.
The Pro Blogger website (www.problogger.net) talks my language. It has a good online reputation and gives nothing but blogger advice. For a born writer like myself (he says with only mild reservation) it feels right.
I’m going to start with the About Us page tips. One of the first things I’m going to do is change the title of the page from “Why?” (which doesn’t really mean anything) to the more traditional, “About Me”. And we’ll see where to go from there.
